Coltău is a commune located in Maramureș County, Romania. It consists of two villages: Cătălina (also known as Koltókatalin) and Coltău.
The administrative area was established in 2004 when the two villages were split off from Săcălășeni Commune to form an independent commune. Prior to this, they were part of Săcălășeni for a period beginning in 1968.
