Coaș is a commune located in the Maramureș County of Romania. It serves as an administrative division composed of two distinct villages: Coaș and Întrerâuri (also known as Láposköz).
The current boundaries of the commune were established in 2004 when the two villages were split off from the Săcălășeni Commune. Prior to this reorganization, they functioned as part of the larger Săcălășeni administrative area between 1968 and 2004.
