Ion Neculce (1672–1745) was a Moldovan chronicler known for his historical documentation of the region. His primary contribution to Romanian historiography is his significant work, Letopisețul Țărâi Moldovei [de la Dabija Vodă până la a doua domnie a lui Constantin Mavrocordat].
The chronicle was authored with the specific intent of extending the narrative established by Miron Costin. Neculce's work covers historical events spanning from 1661 to 1743.
