Ciurea is a commune located in Iași County within the Western Moldavia region of Romania. It serves as part of the larger Iași metropolitan area and is situated approximately 7 km (4.3 mi) south of the county seat, Iași.
The administrative territory of the commune is composed of seven distinct villages: Ciurea, Curături, Dumbrava, Hlincea, Lunca Cetățuii, Picioru Lupului, and Slobozia. Additionally, the area includes Zanea, which is noted as a majority-Romani neighborhood.
