Cosâmbești is a commune situated in Ialomița County within the Muntenia region of Romania. The administrative area is composed of two villages: Cosâmbești and Gimbășani.
Historically, the commune included the village of Mărculești. However, this village was split off in 2005 to establish its own independent entity known as Mărculești Commune.
