Nicorești is a commune located in Galați County within the Western Moldavia region of Romania. As of recent records, the commune has a population of 6,099 people.
The administrative area is composed of ten villages: Braniștea, Coasta Lupei, Dobrinești, Fântâni, Grozăvești, Ionășești, Mălureni, Nicorești, Piscu Corbului, and Sârbi. Historically, the commune included two additional villages until 2004, at which point they were separated to form the Poiana Commune.
