Munteni is a commune located in the Western Moldavia region of Romania, within Galați County. As of current records, the commune has a population of approximately 6,791 people.
The administrative area of Munteni is composed of four villages: Frunzeasca, Munteni, Țigănești, and Ungureni. Historically, the commune included two additional villages, which were separated in 2004 to form the independent Negrilești Commune.
