Liești is a city located in Western Moldavia, Romania. It serves as the third-largest commune within Galați County and is situated at the confluence of the Siret and Bârlad rivers.
The commune is composed of two villages: Liești and Șerbănești, with the latter forming the southernmost part of the area. Geographically, it is positioned near the cities of Tecuci, located approximately 28 km away, and Galați, which is situated about 52 km from the commune.
