Valea Stanciului is a commune located in Dolj County within the Oltenia region of Romania. Established in 1864, the administrative area currently has a population of 4,806 people according to the 2021 census.
The commune is composed of two distinct villages: Horezu-Poenari and Valea Stanciului.
