Tălpaș is a commune located in Dolj County within the Oltenia region of Romania. It currently has a population of approximately 1,512 people.
The commune is composed of five distinct villages: Moflești, Nistoi, Puținei, Soceni, and Tălpaș. These settlements were originally part of the Fărcaș Commune until they were officially split off in 2004 to form their own administrative unit.
