Cârcea is a commune located in Dolj County within the Oltenia region of Romania. As of 2021, the commune has a population of 4,644 people.
The administrative area consists of a single village, also named Cârcea. It was originally part of the Coșoveni Commune until it was officially split off to become an independent commune in 2004.
