Șotânga is a commune located in Dâmbovița County within the Muntenia region of Romania. As of 2021, the commune has a recorded population of 7,077 residents.

The administrative area of the commune is composed of two villages: Șotânga and Teiș. Historically, the area was known for industrial activity, specifically the Șotânga Coal Mine, which functioned as both an open-pit and underground lignite mine.
