Moreni is a municipality located in Dâmbovița County within the Muntenia region of Romania. It is situated in the eastern part of the county along the border with Prahova County.
The city is positioned approximately 22 km east of Târgoviște, which serves as the county seat, and roughly 100 km northwest of Bucharest. As of 2021, Moreni had a recorded population of 15,472 residents.
