Bărbulețu is a commune located in Dâmbovița County within the Muntenia region of Romania. It serves as an administrative division composed of three distinct villages: Bărbulețu, Cetățuia, and Gura Bărbulețului.
Historically, the commune was larger in size and scope. Until 2004, it included seven additional villages which were subsequently split off to form the separate communes of Pietrari and Râu Alb.
