Ciucea is a commune located in the Transylvania region of Cluj County, Romania. It is situated on the right bank of the Crișul Repede River, approximately 20 km northwest of Huedin.
The commune currently consists of two villages: Ciucea and Vânători (Börvény). From 1968 until 2002, the administrative area also included three additional villages which were later separated to form the Negreni Commune.
