Căpușu Mare is a commune located in the Transylvania region of Romania, specifically within Cluj County. It is situated approximately 27 km (17 mi) west of the city of Cluj-Napoca.
The administrative area of the commune is composed of nine distinct villages: Agârbiciu (Egerbegy), Bălcești (Balkujtelep), Căpușu Mare, Căpușu Mic (Magyarkiskapus), Dângău Mare (Bánffydongó), Dângău Mic (Gyerőfidongó), Dumbrava (Gyerővásárhely), Păniceni (Gyerőfalva), and Straja (Gesztrágy).
