Câmpia Turzii is a municipality located in Cluj County within the Transylvania region of Romania. The settlement was officially formed in 1925 through the union of two villages, Ghiriș (Aranyosgyéres) and Sâncrai (Szentkirály).
The administrative status of the area evolved over several decades; it was declared a town in 1950 before eventually achieving city status in 1998.
