Coronini is a commune located in Caraș-Severin County in western Romania. Situated within the Banat region, it sits on the Danube River along the border with Serbia in an area known as Clisura Dunării. As of 2021, the commune has a population of 1,514 and includes the villages of Coronini and Sfânta Elena.
The locality features several archaeological sites dating back to the Bronze Age and contains a medieval fortress originally built by rulers of the Hungarian Kingdom. The area was re-founded during the Banat colonization of the 1790s and officially established in 1858. Sfânta Elena is notable as a center for early 19th-century immigration from Czech lands and remains associated with the Czech-Romanian community.
