Băile Herculane is a spa town located in the Banat region of Romania, within Caraș-Severin County. It is situated at an elevation of 168 meters (551 ft) in the valley of the Cerna River, positioned between the Mehedinți Mountains to the east and the Cerna Mountains to the west.
The town has a current population of 3,787 residents and serves as the administrative center for one village, Pecinișca.
