Unguriu is a commune located in the Muntenia region of Romania. It is situated within Buzău County, positioned approximately 18 km (11 mi) northwest of the county seat, Buzău.
The commune is situated on the banks of the Buzău River and is composed of two villages: Ojasca and Unguriu.
