Rupea is a town located in Brașov County within the Transylvania region of Romania. Historically, the settlement has been known by the older Romanian names Cohalm and Holuma.
The town currently administers one village, Fișer. As of 2021, Rupea had a population of 4,907 inhabitants. Both Rupea and its administered village are characterized by the presence of fortified churches.
