Prundu Bârgăului is a commune located in Bistrița-Năsăud County, Romania. It is situated within the historical region of Transylvania.
The administrative area of the commune is composed of two villages: Prundu Bârgăului and Susenii Bârgăului (also known as Felsőborgó).
