Dumitrița is a commune located in Bistrița-Năsăud County within the Transylvania region of Romania. The administrative area is composed of three distinct villages: Budacu de Sus, Dumitrița, and Ragla.
The commune was established in 2002 following its separation from the Cetate Commune. It serves as a rural administrative division within the county's geographical framework.
