Buhuși is a town located in Bacău County, Romania. As of 2021, the municipality has a recorded population of 14,152 residents.
The settlement was first mentioned in historical records during the 15th century under the name "Bodești." It was originally held as a property belonging to an influential family of Boyars known as "Buhuș."
