Poienari is a commune located in Neamț County within the Western Moldavia region of Romania. The administrative area is composed of three distinct villages: Bunghi, Poienari, and Săcăleni.
The current composition of the commune was established following a reorganization in 2004. Prior to this time, the territory included five additional villages which were subsequently split off to form the separate Pâncești Commune.
