Vârfurile is a commune located in Arad County, Romania. It is situated on the north-western part of the Hălmagiu Basin, positioned at the base of the Bihor and Codru-Moma Mountains.
The territory of the commune covers an area of 13,600 hectares. It is composed of eight distinct villages: Avram Iancu (Ácsva), Groși (Halmágygóros), Lazuri (Irtványfalu), Măgulicea (Kismaglód), Mermești (Mermesd), Poiana (Csúcsmező), Vârfurile, and Vidra.
