Baia de Arieș is a town located in Alba County, Romania. It serves as the administrative center for five surrounding villages: Brăzești (Berzesd), Cioara de Sus (Felsőcsóra), Muncelu (Muncsal), Sartăș (Szártos), and Simulești.
The town had a population of 3,035 as of 2021. Historically, it functioned as a significant mining center until 2004. The local mining operations primarily focused on extracting base metals, as well as arsenopyrite and pyrite-rich concentrate containing gold.
