Abrud is a town situated in the north-western region of Alba County in Transylvania, Romania. It is geographically positioned along the Abrud River.
The town serves as an administrative center for three surrounding villages: Abrud-Sat (also known as Abrudfalva), Gura Cornei (Szarvaspataktorka), and Soharu (Szuhár).
