Lusail is the third-largest city in Qatar, following Doha and Al-Rayyan. It serves as a significant economic hub for the country and covers an area of over 38 square kilometres. The city is situated on the coast in the southern part of the municipality of Al Daayen, located approximately 23 kilometres north of the Doha city centre and just north of the West Bay Lagoon.
The urban development of Lusail is designed to accommodate an infrastructure for 450,000 people. Projections estimate that this population will consist of no more than 250,000 residents, with approximately 190,000 office workers and 60,000 retail workers.
