Itauguá is a city located in the northeastern part of the Central Department of Paraguay. It is situated approximately 30 km from Asunción, the nation's capital.
The city is recognized both nationally and internationally for its traditional lacemaking known as ñandutí. Due to this cultural significance, it is commonly referred to as the "city of ñandutí."
