Murça, officially known as the Town of Murça, is a municipality located in northern Portugal. It is situated in the central part of the eastern district of Vila Real and belongs to the Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro region.
The municipality covers an area of 189.37 square kilometers and had a recorded population of 5,952 in 2011. The town of Murça serves as the seat of the municipal government and is located approximately 40 kilometres from several major urban centers within the region.
