Mondim de Basto is a town and municipality situated in the Vila Real district of northern Portugal. The municipality encompasses an area of 172.08 square kilometres (66.44 mi2) and serves as a local administrative center for the region.
As of 2021, the municipality had a total population of 6,410 residents, with 2,971 people residing in the central parish where the town is located. The current mayor is Bruno Ferreira, who was elected by the PSD Party. The official municipal holiday for the area is observed on July 25.
