Arcos de Valdevez is a municipality located along the northern frontier of Portugal, bordering Galicia in Spain. It serves as the largest municipality by land area within the district of Viana do Castelo.
The region covers a total area of 447.60 km2 and had a recorded population of 22,847 in 2011.
