Sines is a town and municipality located in Portugal. The municipality covers an area of 203.30 km² (78.49 sq mi) and is divided into two parishes, with a population of approximately 14,214 inhabitants as of 2021.
The region serves as a significant industrial hub, housing an important oil refinery and various petrochemical industries. Additionally, Sines is recognized as the main fishing harbour of the Alentejo region and is a popular destination for beach tourism.
