Azeitao

Azeitão is a civil parish located in the municipality of Setúbal, Portugal. It was established in 2013 through the merger of two former parishes: São Lourenço and São Simão. The region covers an area of approximately 69.32 km² and had a recorded population of 18,877 in 2011.

The parish is characterized by a cluster of small villages known as "aldeias," which include Vila Fresca de Azeitão, Vila Nogueira de Azeitão, Brejos de Azeitão, Aldeia de Irmãos, Aldeia Velha, and Vendas de Azeitão. It is situated near the cities of Setúbal and Palmela.

Azeitão is notably recognized for its production of cheese and wine, which are the primary products associated with the region.
