Almada

Almada is a city and municipality located on the southern margin of the Tagus River in Portugal. It is situated within the Lisbon Metropolitan Area and serves as an urban center connected directly to Lisbon via the 25 de Abril Bridge.

The municipality covers an area of 70.21 km2, with a recorded population of 174,030 in 2011. The urbanized core center, known as the city of Almada proper, had a population of 101,500 as of 2001.
