Santo Tirso is a city and municipality situated in the northern region of the Porto Metropolitan Area in Portugal. It is located approximately 25 kilometers from the center of Porto.
The city occupies an area of 136.60 square kilometres (52.74 mi2) and had a recorded population of 67,709 in 2021. It is positioned within the Ave Valley, which serves as a significant center for the textile industry.
