Torres Vedras is a medium-sized city and municipality located in the West area of the Oeste e Vale do Tejo region in Portugal. It is situated approximately 50 kilometres north of Lisbon, the national and district capital.
Historically part of Estremadura, Torres Vedras serves as the most populous municipality within the Oeste intermunicipal community. As of the 2021 Census, the city had a population of 83,072 residents across an area of 407.15 square kilometres.
