Sintra, officially known as the Town of Sintra, is a town and municipality located in the Greater Lisbon region of Portugal on the Portuguese Riviera. It covers an area of 319.23 square kilometres and had a population of 385,654 as of 2021. The municipality is recognized as one of the most urbanized and densely populated areas in Portugal.
The region is a major tourist destination known for its picturesque landscape. It features several historic palaces, castles, scenic beaches, and various parks and gardens.
