Sacavém is a city and former civil parish located in the municipality of Loures within the Lisbon District of Portugal. Situated just a few kilometers north-east of the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, the area serves as a notable geographic point in the surrounding region.
In 2013, the civil parish was merged into the new parish of Sacavém e Prior Velho. As of the 2001 census, the original civil parish covered an area of 4.09 km² and had a resident population of 17,659 inhabitants. The region is primarily recognized for its well-known ceramics industry.
