Lumiar is a freguesia and typical quarter located in the northern part of Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal. It serves as a residential area situated within the metropolitan layout of the city.
The district is bordered by several other neighborhoods, including Carnide to the west, Alvalade to the south, and Olivais to the east. To its north, it borders Santa Clara and partially shares a boundary with the municipality of Odivelas. As of 2021, the population of Lumiar was recorded at 46,334.
