Carcavelos is a location situated in Portugal within the municipality of Cascais, located approximately 12 kilometres west of Lisbon. Until 2013, it functioned as an independent civil parish before merging with Parede to form the new parish of Carcavelos e Parede.
Historically, the area was recognized for its wine production. Following a decline in the regional winemaking industry, the area became known for its beaches. These beaches are currently a popular destination for surfing due to the local wave conditions.
