Amadora, officially known as the City of Amadora, is a city and municipality located in the northwest of the Lisbon metropolitan area in Portugal. It is situated approximately 10 kilometers from central Lisbon.
The city covers an area of 23.78 square kilometers and had a population of 175,136 as of 2011. Amadora is recognized as the fourth largest city in Portugal and is characterized by being one of the most densely populated cities in the country.
