Bombarral is a municipality located in the Oeste region of Portugal. It falls within the historical province of Estremadura and is part of the Leiria district.
The municipality covers an area of 91.29 square kilometres (35.25 mi2) and had a recorded population of 13,193 in 2011. It is composed of four civil parishes that provide local services to the residents of the area.
