Pinhel is a municipality located in the central subregion of Beira Interior Norte, Portugal. It serves as a former Catholic bishopric and currently functions as a Latin titular see.
The municipality covers an area of 484.52 km2 and had a population of 9,627 as of 2011. The urban center of Pinhel recorded approximately 3,500 residents in 2001.
