Santo António dos Olivais, commonly referred to as Olivais, is an urban civil parish located in the municipality of Coimbra, Portugal. It occupies the eastern portion of the historic city of Coimbra, situated east of University Hill. The parish covers an area of 19.27 km² and was established in 1836.
As the most populated parish in the Municipality of Coimbra, Olivais is among the most densely inhabited areas in Portugal outside of the Lisbon and Porto metropolitan regions. It serves as a major hub for regional infrastructure, housing the city's primary medical, sports, educational, and scientific facilities. The area of Celas within the parish contains a particularly high concentration of health services.
The parish was named in honor of Anthony of Padua, who joined the local branch of the Order of Friars Minor. Anthony derived his name from Saint Anthony the Great, to whom the local Franciscan hermitage was originally dedicated.
