Miranda do Douro is a city and municipality located in the district of Bragança in northeastern Portugal. Situated on the border with Spain, the town is separated from the neighboring country by the Douro River, with the Spanish city of Zamora being its nearest neighbor across the water.
Known as the Cidade Museu of the Trás-os-Montes region, the city is recognized for preserving significant medieval and Renaissance-era architecture and traditions.
