Serpa is a municipality located in the district of Beja in southern Portugal. It covers an area of 1,105.63 square kilometres and had a recorded population of 15,623 as of 2011.

The town of Serpa is situated near the Guadiana River, which flows through the region. The municipality serves as a primary geographic point within the southern Portuguese interior.
