Barrancos, officially known as the Town of Barrancos, is a town and municipality located in southeastern Portugal near the Spanish border. It covers an area of 168.42 square kilometres (65.03 mi2).
As of 2021, the municipality has a population of 1,438 residents, making it the least populated municipality in Continental Portugal. Barrancos is also distinguished as one of only six Portuguese municipalities that comprise a single civil parish.
