Albergaria-a-Velha is a town and municipality located in the Aveiro District of Portugal. As of the 2011 census, the municipality covers an area of 158.83 km² and had a recorded population of 25,252 residents.
In terms of demographics and governance, the municipality reported 19,687 eligible voters in 2006. It serves as a localized administrative division within the coastal region of central Portugal.
